Africa’s Largest Tech Tour Launches in 10 Countries Across the Continent
To accelerate developments within the Africa’s tech ecosystem, Africa Future Summit is to host the largest tech tour across the continent from October- December 2019.
The tour will target 10 countries such as Nigeria, South Africa, Kenya , Ethiopia , Egypt, Senegal, Rwanda, and Cote D’ Ivoire. The summit will end with the culminating Ghana Tech Summit featuring 100 global speakers on December 13, 2019. This will be the largest tech tour across the continent, welcoming close to 500 speakers and 5000+ guests on the tour.
Inspired by the success of Africa Tech Future Summit 2018, the Africa Future Tour 2019 aims to highlight the continent’s network of entrepreneurs, investors, pioneers, and creatives of tomorrow. Africa Future Summit is the world’s most exclusive event featuring Africa’s growing network of exponential tech influencers. Sahara Sparks is among Africa’s largest innovation and technology entrepreneurship event. The event started in Tanzania and now has four chapters in four other African countries; Nigeria, Kenya, Uganda and Malawi through a series of events titled, city sparks. The event has been able to reach more than 500 startup companies, attract over 2500 event attendees and over 200 speakers from across the world. This year’s event will be held in a week-long of activities that will include Angel Fair Africa thanks to the signed collaboration agreement between Sahara Sparks and Chanzo Capital which is a company behind Angel Fair Africa. Angels Fair Africa is a deal-making event, which brings investors to invest in startups and early-stage entrepreneurs who are growing across the African continent championed by Chanzo Capital. The event since 2013 has resulted in $23M worth of investments in tech and tech-enabled ventures in South Africa, Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, Ivory Coast, and Mozambique. Angel Fair Africa will bring opportunities for local startups and early-stage businesses to access investors from across the globe who will be attending the event. The Theme of this year’s event is: “AFRICA IN THE FOURTH INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION” or as simply put AFRICA 4.0. The event is expecting to attract over 1000 key stakeholders that include entrepreneurs, investors, startups, corporate organizations, government and development agencies from Tanzania and all over Africa and globally.
